Erica Lapadat-Janzen is an interdisciplinary artist/curator originating from Vancouver, BC. She graduated with a Bachelors of Visual art from Emily Carr University. Erica curates and organizes arts events that create exposure for emerging artists, and contribute to the changing art scene in Vancouver (and online). She is the idea woman behind The New Flesh, Selfie and Camera/whore. She actively participates in solo and group exhibitions on and offline and screenshots everything. Erica’s work and mediums are in a constant state of flux, although she is currently focused on net art, digital collage, and video work. She focuses on topics ranging from social media as performance to sexuality in online communities. Much of her work could be considered humorous although if you ask she will say “I am NOT funny.” As the self proclaimed founder of Froth wave Feminism, she plays with genderfuck, bodily humour, and hypersexual glitching. She is currently working on being more tangible and creating a line of appeal and objects called « Skin Products. »
